data-start=“1577″Special adapter required:
You need a special cleaning adapter to clean compensator shut-off valves, as the adapter sizes vary depending on the manufacturer.
data-start=“1770″Different thread sizes:
The most common adapter sizes are: ? 28 mm thread
/30 mm thread
?? How to determine the correct adapter size:
- Loosen the front part of the tap at the ring nut.
- Measure the outer diameter of the removed front part.
Alternatively, you can check the SK number on the front part of the tap to find the right adapter size. You can find more details about SK numbers in the product description.
Scope of delivery of the cleaning device:
- Cleaning plate with direction lever and sight glasses for monitoring the cleaning process.
- Cellar connector with 2 x 5/8″ connections for a stable connection to the beer hoses.
- 2 x beer hoses (10 x 15 mm) with securely screwed wing nuts (5/8″) for a secure connection.
- 1 x waste water hose (10 x 15 mm) for draining waste water during the cleaning process.
- Unex clamps for securing the hose and grommet fastening.
- Sample sponge balls in various sizes (4 mm, 6.7 mm, 7 mm, or 10 mm) to choose from depending on the pipe type.
Cleaning instructions for dispensing taps:
1. Tap design: Modern 2-piece compensator tap or piston tap
- Preparation of the connecting hoses:
- Insert the two 10 mm grommets into the 5/8″ union nuts.
- Now slide the two Unex clamps over the hose.
- Insert the grommets into the hose and tighten the part with the clamp. If necessary, warm the hose beforehand to make it easier to attach the grommets.
- Connecting the hoses to the tap handles:
- Connect the cleaning adapter end of the connecting hose to the tap.
- Attach the other end of the connecting hose to the cellar connector (with double thread 5/8″).
- Screw your beer line to the opposite end of the cellar connector.
- Preparing for the cleaning process:
- Place either a cleaning sponge or a Bevi Tab (alkaline or acidic) in the adapter sight glass.
- Place the drain hose in a water drain or bucket to drain excess cleaning fluid.
- Performing the cleaning:
- open the tap and allow the cleaning solution to run through the pipes.
- Close the tap as soon as the cleaning sponge with the blue or red solution reaches the sight glass.
- Allow the solution to work for approx. 15 minutes so that it can develop its full cleaning effect.
- after the application time, open the tap again and rinse with fresh water to remove all cleaning residues.
- Additional information for multiple taps:
- If you want to clean two taps, connect both connecting hoses to the two cleaning adapters to create a „bridge.“ This allows both taps to be cleaned at the same time.
2. Dispenser tap design: Old single-piece swivel taps / chicken taps
- Connection of the hoses:
- The two connecting hoses can be pushed directly onto the 10 mm outlets of the swivel taps.
- Tighten the hoses with the Unex clamps.
- Cleaning procedure:
- The cleaning process is the same as for modern dispensing taps, except that the hoses do not need to be secured additionally.
Conclusion:
The beer line cleaning device ensures thorough and effective cleaning of your beverage dispensing system. It offers a versatile cleaning option, is easy to use, and is made of high-quality materials. With the right adapter size and by following the cleaning instructions, you can ensure that your system remains hygienic and ready for use.
